If you manage a marina, boatyard, or naval facility, you already know the pain: vessels stuck in the water waiting for maintenance, slipways that damage hulls, and cranes that simply weren’t built for boats. A marine travel lift solves all three problems in a single machine. It lifts, moves, and launches vessels safely — without fixed rails, without hull damage, and without slowing down your yard.
This page covers everything you need to evaluate a marine travel lift: what it does, where it works, what makes ours different, and the full technical specs. If you are ready to specify a unit, our engineering team responds to enquiries within 24 hours.
A marine travel lift — also called a boat travel lift, mobile boat hoist, or self-propelled boat hoist — is a rubber-tyred gantry crane designed specifically for vessel handling. The portal frame straddles the boat in the water. Polyester slings are positioned under the hull. The vessel is then lifted clear and driven anywhere on land.
No rail tracks. No fixed infrastructure. Just one machine that handles haul-out, transport, and relaunch.
HT crane Marine Travel Lift cover capacities from 35 tonnes to 1,000 tonnes, making them suitable for everything from 10-metre sailing yachts to 90-metre superyachts and offshore support vessels. Each unit is factory-assembled, fully load-tested, andCE certified before shipment.

| Series | Capacity | Typical Vessel Type |
|---|---|---|
| Light | 35T – 75T | Sailing yachts, small motor boats |
| Medium | 100T – 200T | Fishing vessels, patrol boats |
| Heavy | 250T – 500T | Superyachts, coast guard craft |
| Ultra | 600T – 1000T | Offshore vessels, naval ships |
Marine Travel Lift are built for the daily rhythm of marina life. A single operator can haul out, move, and relaunch multiple vessels per shift. The adjustable sling spacing handles everything from narrow-keeled racers to wide-beam catamarans without rigging changes.
Typical cycle time for a 50T lift: under 30 minutes from waterside haul-out to hard-standing placement.
For yards handling 500 to 2,000 vessel movements per year, throughput is everything. Our medium-series travel lifts (100T–200T) are designed for continuous duty-cycle operation — two-shift, year-round, in saltwater environments. Variable-frequency drives reduce mechanical wear and extend service intervals.
Naval applications demand certification. Our 150T–500T units are available with third-party class certification from DNV GL, Bureau Veritas, ABS, and Lloyd’s Register. We have supplied naval maintenance facilities across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Composite and aluminium hulls are unforgiving of rough handling. Our heavy-series units use synchronised multi-point hoist control — all lift points rise and fall together, within ±10 mm of each other. Sling tension monitoring prevents localised hull stress.
The entire machine travels on rubber-tyred axles. No rails, no pits, no concrete channel cuts. Drive it into the water, engage the slings, lift, and go. The compact footprint fits standard marina pier widths from 6 metres.
Telescopic spreader beams allow span adjustment from 6.0 m to 28.0 m. Catamaran models with independently adjustable inner sling positions are available across the full capacity range. One machine handles your entire fleet.
All hoist motors and travel drives use AC inverter control (Danfoss, ABB, or Siemens). This delivers smooth, stepless speed control from zero to full travel speed — critical when maneuvering a 200-tonne yacht through a tight yard gate. Energy consumption is up to 30% lower than conventional contactor-switched systems.
Every unit is equipped with a Siemens S7 or Allen-Bradley PLC, 7-inch colour HMI touchscreen, and joystick pendant. Safety systems include load cells on every hoist block (±0.5% accuracy), anti-sway logic, travel limit switches, emergency stops, and optional wireless remote control up to 100 metres range.
Saltwater destroys standard electrical equipment within months. Our travel lifts use IP65-sealed enclosures, 316 stainless steel hardware, and corrosion-inhibited hydraulic circuits. The structural steel is hot-dip galvanized or finished with a marine-grade multi-coat epoxy system. Salt-fog tested per IEC 60068-2-11.
